Mumbai: The London International Awards (LIA) has appointed Menno Kluin, Global Chief Creative Officer of Iris Worldwide, as Jury President for the Digital and Creators & Social Platforms category at LIA 2026.
In this role, Kluin will lead a jury of nine global industry leaders tasked with recognising and awarding the most innovative and impactful creative work across digital platforms, creators and social media.
Kluin, who was named U.S. Creative Person of the Year by Campaign Magazine in 2022, has been recognised for developing culture-driven brand activations for companies including Oreo, 7-Eleven and several other global brands. He brings extensive experience in integrated campaigns and progressive creative work, having held senior creative roles at agencies including 360i, DDB and Saatchi & Saatchi in New York.
Commenting on his appointment, Menno Kluin said, “This category is the largest and most impactful cultural impact tool available to any brand in the world. The best of the best that play in this category are undoubtedly successful companies. Don’t spend your way to growth, but earn your way.”
The Digital and Creators & Social Platforms category reflects the growing influence of social media, creator-led marketing and digital communities in shaping brand-consumer relationships. With creators increasingly helping brands establish authentic connections with audiences, the category recognises work that effectively combines creativity, culture and technology.
Kluin highlighted how brands that understand their audiences can create meaningful impact in this space. He cited the example of The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), which successfully engaged younger audiences by incorporating meme culture and Gen Z humour into its educational content, resulting in significant follower growth and increased young membership sign-ups through its 2024 “Bird of the Week” TikTok series.
“We are seeing more and more brands harnessing the power of social media and content creators to capture attention. There have been many creative and successful creative executions that have demonstrated how digital and social platforms have been used brilliantly. We know there will be very interesting points of view and discussions from the jury. But at the end of the day, we are confident the best work will emerge from the room,” said Christina Shaw, VP – Awards Director, LIA.
The LIA 2026 Digital and Creators & Social Platforms Jury will evaluate work that demonstrates creative excellence, cultural relevance and innovative use of digital ecosystems to engage audiences worldwide.
