Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has kicked off its next commercial rights cycle by inviting bids for the Title Sponsor Rights and Associate Partner Rights for BCCI Events through separate competitive bidding processes.
In notices issued on July 20, the cricket board released an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the Title Sponsor Rights and a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the Associate Partner Rights, marking the beginning of the process to onboard new commercial partners for its portfolio of domestic and international cricket events.
The Title Sponsor Rights are currently held by IDFC FIRST Bank, with the existing agreement understood to be nearing its conclusion.
Under the ITT, interested entities can acquire the tender document upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 1 lakh, excluding applicable Goods and Services Tax. The document can be purchased until August 4, while requests for clarifications will be accepted until August 5. Bid submissions are due by August 13.
Separately, companies interested in the Associate Partner Rights can purchase the RFQ until August 14, seek clarifications until August 16, and submit quotation documents by August 25. The RFQ is also priced at a non-refundable fee of Rs 1 lakh, plus applicable GST.
The board has also reserved the right to amend or cancel either process at any stage without assigning any reason.
The simultaneous launch of the Title Sponsor and Associate Partner bidding processes signals the start of BCCI’s next commercial rights cycle, as the governing body looks to refresh its roster of brand partners ahead of the upcoming cricket calendar. The rights are among the most sought-after marketing assets in Indian sport, offering brands extensive visibility across BCCI’s domestic and international cricket properties.
