Kochi: Kerala-based ghee brand Nambisan’s Pure Cow Ghee has launched a new campaign built around the familiar Malayalam phrase ‘Nannaayi Varum’, positioning the expression as a distinctive brand platform that connects food, culture and emotion.
The campaign marks the brand’s move towards its new strategic philosophy, “Makes Good Food Great,” shifting away from conventional ghee category communication that typically focuses on purity, aroma and tradition. Instead, Nambisan’s aims to highlight the role of ghee in everyday cooking experiences and the emotional connection people share with food.
The phrase ‘Nannaayi Varum’, which translates to “Everything will turn out well,” is commonly used as a blessing among Malayalis. The campaign reinterprets the phrase through a series of films where characters initially assume the blessing is directed towards them, only to realise that it refers to the dish being prepared with Nambisan’s Pure Cow Ghee.
The films use this moment of gentle misunderstanding to communicate the brand promise that food prepared with Nambisan’s Pure Cow Ghee turns out well. Set against authentic Kerala backdrops and familiar food occasions, the campaign highlights traditional cooking practices and the confidence consumers associate with the brand.
The campaign includes three films and will be supported through an integrated rollout across television, digital platforms and retail channels.

Commenting on the campaign, Vivek Nambisan, Managing Director, Nambisan’s Dairy Pvt. Ltd., said, “‘Nannaayi Varum’ is much more than a campaign line for us. It is a phrase that Malayalis instinctively understand, and one that reflects the trust people have placed in Nambisan’s for generations. With this campaign, we wanted to build on our new philosophy of ‘Makes Good Food Great’ and give this familiar blessing a delicious new meaning. One that celebrates great food, tradition, and the confidence our consumers place in our ghee.”

Speaking about the creative approach, Rins Panicker, Co-Founder, Stealth Mode Brand Communications, said, “The beauty of ‘Nannaayi Varum’ lies in its simplicity. It is already part of Kerala’s everyday vocabulary. We didn’t invent a slogan. We chose a phrase that people already use, and reinterpreted it in a way that’s warm, and memorable. We wanted the campaign to not only stand out, but also feel culturally rooted and emotionally resonant.”
With the campaign, Nambisan’s Pure Cow Ghee aims to differentiate itself in a competitive ghee market by building a brand narrative around cultural familiarity, food experiences and emotional connections rather than product attributes alone
