New delhi: Dentsu India has promoted Abhinay Bhasin to Executive Vice President – Product & Technology, reinforcing its focus on strengthening technology-led marketing capabilities as the agency network continues to expand its data and product offerings.
Bhasin announced the promotion in a LinkedIn post, calling it an important milestone in his journey of helping build Dentsu India’s Data & Technology (D&T) function.
“I’m grateful and excited to step into the role of Executive Vice President – Product & Technology,” he wrote, thanking Dentsu India leaders Harsha Razdan, Harini M, Kartik Iyer and Ajay Gupte for consistently backing the team’s long-term investments in technology and product innovation.
The elevation comes a little over a year after Bhasin returned to Dentsu India in May 2024 as Senior Vice President – Product & Technology, following a nearly two-year stint at ProfitWheel, where he served as Head of Product Marketing.
Bhasin’s association with Dentsu began in 2015, when he joined Carat India as a Media Manager. Over the next several years, he rose through multiple leadership positions, eventually becoming Vice President (Asia Pacific) – Data & Product Solutions, Data Sciences, before leaving the organisation in May 2022.
During his first stint, Bhasin was among the founding members of Dentsu India’s Data Sciences team, helping scale the function from a three-member unit into a significantly larger operation before expanding its remit across the Asia-Pacific region. He also contributed to Dentsu’s global product initiatives, co-authored early industry thought leadership on cookieless advertising and established DMC Insights, the network’s behavioural and survey-led audience insights division.
Before rejoining Dentsu India, Bhasin led product marketing at ProfitWheel. His career also includes stints at Google, Isobar, The Economist and Deloitte India, giving him experience across media, digital transformation and technology.
Reflecting on the promotion, Bhasin credited his colleagues for the growth of the Data & Technology business, describing the achievement as a shared milestone. He also thanked clients and partners for continually raising expectations, adding that the team’s journey is “just getting started.”
The appointment reflects Dentsu India’s continued investment in product, data and technology leadership as it looks to accelerate AI-powered, data-driven marketing solutions and strengthen its integrated capabilities for clients.
