Mumbai: WPP Media has promoted Rajiv Rajagopal to Senior Vice President, Head of Advanced TV, Media Solutions, India, effective July 2026, in a move that underscores the media network’s push to build Advanced TV into a core pillar of its Media Solutions business. In his expanded role, Rajagopal will lead WPP Media’s Advanced TV practice across India, with a mandate to accelerate the evolution of television advertising through addressability, data, technology and measurement. He will be responsible for the vertical’s overall strategic direction, growth, product development and partner ecosystem, helping advertisers navigate the convergence of linear television, Connected TV and addressable media.
Announcing the elevation, Rajagopal said the role feels different — not just a new title, but a wider mandate to shape Advanced TV as a core pillar of Media Solutions at WPP. Having built the Advanced TV business from the ground up at the network, he said his focus going forward will be on defining and executing WPP Media’s Advanced TV strategy for India, advancing audience planning, addressability, measurement and accountability standards for CTV, developing category-defining solutions with platforms, broadcasters and advertisers, and driving research-led thought leadership to sharpen insights and planning. He is responsible for the business’s overall strategic direction, growth, product development and partner ecosystem, helping advertisers navigate the convergence of linear television, Connected TV and addressable media.
Before this elevation, Rajagopal was Business Head – Advanced TV at WPP Media from January 2024. Prior to that, he was Head – Client Development at Finecast (formerly GroupM Now, now WPP Media Advanced TV) from October 2021. He joined GroupM in 2016 as Business Group Head. Before GroupM, he worked at Star India, and earlier in his career held roles at Red FM and Radio Mirchi.
