Mumbai: Britannia Industries has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Siddharth Parakh as Head of Strategy & Business Development, effective August 3, 2026, as the FMCG company sharpens its focus on long-term growth, strategic investments and business expansion.
The appointment was approved by Britannia’s Board of Directors through a circular resolution passed on August 2, 2026, following the recommendation of the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The development was disclosed in a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations.
Parakh joins Britannia after a four-and-a-half-year stint at Tata Sons, where he was part of the Group CFO and Group Strategy Office. During his tenure, he worked on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, capital allocation, investments and mergers and acquisitions across the Tata Group.
With more than 13 years of experience spanning corporate strategy, M&A, investments and corporate finance, Parakh has built a career advising businesses on growth and transformation. Prior to Tata Sons, he was Assistant Vice President in the investment banking division of Edelweiss Financial Services (now Nuvama), where he advised Indian and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, fundraising and corporate finance transactions across sectors including consumer, technology, healthcare and new-age businesses.
Earlier in his career, he held corporate finance and advisory roles at MAPE Advisory Group, Grant Thornton and PwC, contributing to several high-profile transactions.
Parakh has been recognised with the Economic Times Young Leader Award. His academic credentials include qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, and completion of the Advanced International Finance Program at Cornell University, New York.
As Head of Strategy & Business Development, Parakh will lead Britannia’s strategic planning and business development initiatives, supporting the company’s next phase of growth and value creation.
