New Delhi: London-based consumer technology brand Nothing has launched ‘Start with Nothing’, a new brand campaign celebrating originality, individuality and the spirit of challenging convention. The campaign features cultural icons Zeenat Aman, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Seedhe Maut, bringing together personalities from cinema and music who have built distinctive identities on their own terms.
The campaign explores how individuals who refuse to follow established paths can create lasting cultural impact. Zeenat Aman is featured for her influence on Hindi cinema and her unconventional persona, while Siddhant Chaturvedi’s journey highlights ambition, resilience and self-belief in establishing a career in Bollywood. Independent hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut represents the evolution of homegrown music from the underground to global audiences while retaining its distinctive voice.
The campaign reflects Nothing’s own approach to consumer technology. Since its inception, the brand has positioned itself around design, creativity and individuality, challenging conventional approaches in an industry where products can increasingly appear similar.
The campaign film adopts a retro-futurist aesthetic, imagining a world in which advanced technology attempts to decode what makes the three featured personalities distinctive. The narrative moves through fragments of their journeys, including Zeenat Aman’s vintage film posters, Siddhant Chaturvedi’s early audition tapes and Seedhe Maut’s formative music videos.
However, the technology ultimately fails to replicate the qualities that define them. While it can analyse their choices, recreate their styles and reconstruct their histories, it cannot manufacture instinct, conviction or originality.
Products from Nothing’s ecosystem, including Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro, Phone (4b), Ear (Open) and Headphone (1), feature throughout the film, reinforcing the brand’s positioning around technology as an enabler of individual expression.

“Start with Nothing is more than the title of this campaign. It’s a reflection of how we built this company and the values we’ve believed in since day one,” said Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President, Nothing. “We started with a simple belief that technology had become predictable, and that there was room for something more expressive, more design-led and more human. The same courage to challenge convention, starting from a blank canvas, is what we see in Zeenat Aman, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Seedhe Maut. They each entered industries where there were established rules, yet built their own identities without compromising who they were. Through Start with Nothing, we’re celebrating their journeys alongside our own, while inspiring a new generation to embrace individuality, question convention and have the confidence to stand apart rather than fit in.”
The film concludes with the message ‘Start with NOTHING’, marking the beginning of a broader cultural campaign for the brand. Vishal Jethwa, Trinetra Haldar, Ikisvon Jamang, Santanu Hazarika, Subiksha Shivakumar, BOH!B and Aksomaniac are also set to join the campaign.
The film has been conceptualised and directed by Kshitij Kankaria and produced by Imran Kathri of IKP.
