Chennai : Tamil television goes one step ahead with its first ever Exclusive medical drama ‘UYIRMEIY’. Zee Tamizh which has been a trend setter in giving offbeat and thought provoking content for past 6 years, is ready to launch its new medical drama on 18th August 2014. The story revolves around 6 doctors who are working at Dayanand Medical Foundation.
Every human has the right to life… Whether they are rich or poor. Every human has the right to basic medical facilities… it is not based on caste or creed. Dayanand Medical Foundation is a non-profit, state of the art multi specialty established by a renowned business magnate Dayanand who heads Dayanand Industries. The hospital is situated in suburban Chennai and caters to the rich and poor alike; each charged according to their capacity to pay, but at the same time, given the same excellent care.
Dr. Kavitha Sandeep (Amala) heads the Emergency Care at DMF. She has Dr. Bhuvana Natarajan (Shrutika -suntv nadaswaram actress) who is training under her. Dr. Karan Bhalla(Gibran) is the resident pediatrician. Dr. Mano Arunmani (Praveen) is the surgeon who works under Dr. Vaidyanadhan. Dr. Tamil Selvan (Vineeth) is a just graduated doctor who comes all the way from the USA to intern here in surgical care. We also have Sister Jenny (Harshita) who is a nurse working under Dr. Kavitha. Beside these principal characters, we have Ezhumalai and Paneer Selvam who are the receptionists in the Emergency; we have Nurses Sarala, Vidya, and Sumathi who all have important roles to play.
Through this show yesteryears actress Amala is making a comeback on Tamil Television. Known for her social work and contribution to society Amala, excited about the project says “ I had never thought I will do television. But it was just this show which made me say yes. The story line and treatment was so good that I could just not refuse it. And above all every episode has a social message which makes audience think about their surroundings.” She adds “my character is named as Dr. Kavitha who heads the Emergency Care at DMF. The character tries to portray that it is not just medication that helps a patient but also care and affection that helps one’s speedy recovery.”
More than the story line and treatment this show has many more things to offer to audience. For the first time ever on tamil television a set has been made for a serial. The set is made In about 20,000 sqft where every intricate detail is taken care off. This larger than life set is erected by the very famous ‘Thota Darani’ himself.
Not to miss creative team, this team consists of Priya and Bhushan along with DOP Arun Mani story and screenplay by Radhika . Another brownie point to this serial is the music. The title track is composed by Dharan and the lyrics to this melodious song are written by Snehan. This track is sung by Hari Charan.
