New Delhi : The 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) was held in New Delhi yesterday. At the IBF Board of Directors meeting thereafter, Uday Shankar, CEO, Star India, was re-elected President and Asianet’s Managing Director K Madhavan as the Director of the Foundation for the second term running.
The IBF Board also re-elected Punit Goenka, Managing Director, Zee Media Corp; NP Singh, CEO, Multi Screen Media; and Rajat Sharma, Chairman, India TV, as IBF Vice-Presidents. Rahul Johri, Executive Vice-President and General Manager, South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, was elected as IBF Treasurer.
Star Inda’s CEO Uday Shankar said, “I am humbled by the IBF members’ confidence in re-electing me. The broadcasting sector is going through a transition due to changes in technology and business environment and I hope to work with the Government, the industry and other stakeholders for realisation of the sector’s potential.”
