New Delhi: The BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI) has appointed Sharmishtha Ghosh as Executive Director – International Partnerships and Outreach, reinforcing its focus on expanding trade and investment collaboration across the bloc as BRICS enters a new phase of growth with 11 member nations and India assumes the grouping’s chairship in 2026.
The newly created leadership role is aimed at strengthening international engagement and enabling deeper economic cooperation among emerging markets through enhanced trade corridors, investment partnerships and institutional dialogue.
In her new role, Ghosh will lead BRICS CCI’s initiatives around cross-border trade connectivity, bilateral investment opportunities and strategic engagement platforms designed to help enterprises across member economies access new markets and scale international partnerships.
She brings over two decades of experience spanning strategic advisory, public policy and international business expansion.
As Founder and Managing Director of In Tandem Global Consulting, a strategy advisory firm operating across India and the UAE, Ghosh has worked extensively with businesses on market entry strategies, foreign investment initiatives and cross-border collaborations. Her experience includes driving economic roundtables and contributing to digital trade corridor initiatives across India, Europe and the MENA region.
Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles across international business development and corporate advisory, collaborating with government institutions, multinational corporations and industry bodies to support trade promotion and global market expansion.
Commenting on her appointment, Sharmishtha Ghosh said, “My focus will be on building practical trade corridors, encouraging cross border investment and setting up institutional channels that help businesses across member economies enter one another’s markets.”
She added that the appointment comes at a time when global trade and investment flows are increasingly moving towards South-South cooperation.

Welcoming the appointment, Sameep Shastri, Chairman, BRICS CCI, said, “The Chamber is preparing for its place in a BRICS of 11 member nations. Sharmishtha brings the experience and the networks to strengthen our international partnerships, and she will help carry our mandate forward,” he said.
