New Delhi: Music streaming platform Spotify has appointed Aditi Shorewal as its new Head of PR & Communications, strengthening its communications leadership as it continues to expand its presence in India and other key markets.
Shorewal announced her appointment through a LinkedIn post, expressing enthusiasm about joining the company and collaborating with creators, artists, partners, and internal teams to shape impactful narratives.
“Excited to share that I’m joining Spotify as Head of PR & Communications,” she wrote, adding that she looks forward to telling stories that “spark conversations, shape culture, and connect people in India and beyond.”
She joins Spotify from Tinder, where she spent nearly two years leading communications efforts across India and South Korea. Shorewal initially joined the dating platform as Communications Lead for India in August 2024 before taking on an expanded regional mandate covering both markets.
Prior to Tinder, she served as Head of Communications & Content Marketing at Eventbrite. Her career spans leadership roles across communications, media relations, content strategy, and digital marketing, with experience across both Indian and international markets.
Over the years, Shorewal has worked with several global media and technology companies. She previously led communications and social media marketing initiatives at Twitter and held global media relations roles at 4media Group UK and TheNewsMarket in London. Earlier in her career, she worked in editorial and digital capacities at NDTV, Times Internet, and Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times Group).
With extensive experience in strategic communications and brand storytelling, Shorewal brings a diverse background spanning technology, media, entertainment, and consumer internet sectors.
Academically, she holds a Master’s degree in Digital Asset and Media Management from King’s College London and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.
