Mumbai: Alembic Pharmaceuticals has announced the appointment of Ramesh Juneja as Executive Vice President – Human Health (Sales and Marketing) for its India business, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to expand its presence across key therapeutic segments.
A seasoned pharmaceutical industry professional, Juneja brings more than three decades of experience in sales and marketing, having led large-scale businesses across both acute and chronic therapy categories.
Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions at major pharmaceutical companies including Sun Pharmaceutical Industries and Cipla. In these roles, he played a significant part in driving business growth, expanding market presence, enhancing commercial execution, and building high-performing teams across multiple therapy areas. He has also led large sales and marketing functions while contributing to the development of organisational capabilities in highly competitive markets.

Before joining Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Juneja founded Ramesh Juneja Business Advisory and co-founded BJW Health Pvt. Ltd. He also served as Senior Vice President at Reliance Retail, where he spearheaded the pan-India launch of the Netmeds B2B business and Netmeds Express stores.
Academically, Juneja holds a degree in Pharmacy from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University and an MBA from Symbiosis International University. He has further enhanced his leadership credentials through Executive Development Programs at the Indian School of Business and the National University of Singapore.
The appointment comes at a time when Alembic Pharmaceuticals is focused on strengthening its Human Health business and accelerating growth across its domestic operations. With Juneja’s extensive experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and business strategy, the company aims to further enhance its commercial capabilities and market reach.
