Mumbai: After the success of the first part of Bebaakee Season 1, ALTBalaji, and ZEE5, the two leading homegrown OTT platforms in the country, are all set to launch the second part of season 1 on 11th December. With Kushal Tandon, Shivjoyti Rajput, and Karan Jotwani becoming household names essaying the characters of Sufiyaan, Kainaat, and Imtiaz respectively, viewers can’t wait to see what happens next in this love triangle that’s won hearts a plenty. Keeping the excitement and anticipation amongst viewers at a high, the two leading homegrown platforms have released a teaser that gives a sneak peek of the upcoming 16 episodes of the show.
Before the audience move to the 2nd part of the season, we look back at how the makers created a buzz and made it a success. Rated 8.6 on IMDB, Bebaakee is entertainment at its finest with its high production value, making one feel that they’re watching a big-budget Bollywood film. Be it its fantastic soundtrack, outdoor locations, or glamourous sets, here was a show that had everything one could have asked for. The soul touching songs of Bebaakee went viral with a reach of 5Mn+ and 23Mn Impressions.
The brand followed a digital-first approach that used social media, brand collaborations, actors, and digital content creators to market the show. The creative strategy for the show focused on introducing viewers to the Sufiyaan wala love, that is, Bebaak, pagal, intense; and positioning him as a man whose only ambition is to win Kainaat, no matter what the cost. This was followed by multiple digital, marketing, and PR activities, which made the show a huge success with an overall reach of 44Mn+.
Since the show revolves around strong and powerful characters, each character was introduced through a narrative poster and an introduction video on social media, that told the audience more about their traits and beliefs. The six-character videos got ALTBalaji a total reach of 3Mn+ and total impressions of 2.85Mn.
Another interesting video which grabbed many eyeballs was Kushal Tandon’s Upside Down Video. Given the character-driven approach for the show promotion, along with the poster and an introduction video, the brand also released a special promo for Sufiyaan, that showcased him as a not so ‘seedha’ guy, despite him being straight forward. This video post got a total reach of 2.5Mn+.
