Bengaluru: Jana Small Finance Bank has appointed Ankush Bhattacharya as its new Head of Marketing, the company announced.
Bhattacharya has been associated with Jana Small Finance Bank since August 2022 and will now take on the expanded leadership role overseeing the bank’s marketing function.
Prior to this elevation, he served as Product Marketing Lead – Lending Products at Mashreq Bank. Before that, he held the position of Head – Digital Channels, Digital Banking at Bandhan Bank. Earlier in his career, he worked with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank.
Bhattacharya brings over 15 years of experience in marketing and business leadership across the banking and financial services sector, with a track record spanning strategic marketing initiatives, customer growth programs, product launches, and IPO storytelling across diverse customer segments.
Commenting on his approach to marketing, Bhattacharya said, “Great marketing is part science, part storytelling—and always about creating real value.”
He added that he remains focused on building consumer-facing businesses with a strong bias for execution, stating that marketing should “build trust, drive growth, and deliver real business outcomes.”
With this appointment, Jana Small Finance Bank strengthens its marketing leadership as it continues to scale its consumer banking initiatives.
