Mumbai: Areion Asset Management has announced the appointment of Ajay Mehta as its new Chief Executive Officer.
A seasoned financial services professional with over 27 years of experience, Mehta brings deep expertise across project and corporate finance, investment banking, securitisation, asset restructuring, and stressed asset resolution. Of this, nearly 16 years have been in leadership roles within India’s private sector banks.
Prior to joining Areion, Mehta served as Executive Director at Capri Global Holdings, where he was responsible for the investment banking business. He has also held senior positions at ICICI Bank and Yes Bank, managing corporate finance, project finance, stress resolution, and structuring complex financing solutions.
Over the course of his career, he has successfully advised and executed several large-scale financial transactions, earning recognition for his negotiation skills, execution capabilities, and asset management expertise.
