BARC India released its Week 47 data for South GEC markets including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. The positions in the top five list changed for some GEC markets.
Tamil (Tamil Nadu/Pondicherry)
In the Tamil speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Sun TV continued its lead with 2135.21 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay with 1306.6 (000) AMA at 2nd spot and Zee Tamil at 3rd spot with 881.27 (000) AMA. KTV retained its 4th spot with 616.6 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay Super with 311.81 (000) AMA at 5th spot.
Kannada (Karnataka)
In the Kannada speaking market, the positions in the chart remained unchanged compared to last week. Zee Kannada continued its lead with 1516.18 (000) AMA followed by Colors Kannada with 849.84 (000) AMA at 2nd spot and Star Suvarna at 3rd spot with 483.56 (000) AMA. Udaya TV retained its 4th spot with 425.85 (000) AMA followed by Udaya Movies at 5th spot with 343.13 (000) AMA.
Malayalam (Kerala)
Among the Malayalam speaking market, Asianet continued its lead with 713.78 (000) AMA. Sports18 1 entered the chart with 229.4 (000) AMA and claimed the 2nd spot. Mazhavil Manorama retained its 3rd spot with 190.72 (000) AMA. Flowers TV dropped from 2nd spot to 4th spot with 178.94 (000) AMA. Zee Keralam slipped one spot down and stood at 5th position with 168.65 (000) AMA.
Telugu (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana)
In the Telugu speaking market, the top three positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Star Maa continued its lead with 2084.16 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu at 2nd spot with 1371.87 (000) AMA and ETV Telugu with 972.09 (000) AMA at 3rd spot. Gemini TV moved one spot up and claimed the 4th position with 581.93 (000) AMA. Gemini Movies slipped one spot down and stood at 5th position with 569.57 (000) AMA.
