Start-UP, a reality TV format created by Singaporean pan-regional news station Channel NewsAsia, is to be exported to neighbouring Indonesia as part of a new partnership between CNA owner MediaCorp and KapanLagi Network.
The Indonesian version of ”Start-UP”, a show about entrepreneurs competing for $2 million seed funding, will be produced in Bahasa Indonesian and have a chat feature that allows viewers to converse with the show’s presenters.
The announcement was made earlier today during the season two premiere of Start-UP.
Debra Soon, head of MediaCorp’s news segment, told CNA: “In conjunction with the launch of Season 2 of Channel NewsAsia’s Start-UP project, the event brings together the who’s who in Indonesian start-ups – from venture capitalists, corporate clients to potential sponsors. Channel NewsAsia will share production material and expertise for the construction of the microsite for Start-UP to KapanLagi network. The two media companies will also collaborate on news coverage, news exchange, technical know-how as well as training and staff attachments.”
