Mumbai: Classic Marble Company (CMC), a surface solution brand, has announced the appointment of Manit Shah as its Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), reinforcing the company’s focus on global expansion, strategic transformation, and future-ready growth initiatives.
Representing the next generation of leadership at CMC, Manit Shah will lead the company’s global market development and long-term strategic roadmap, with a key focus on strengthening international presence, expanding domestic market access, and identifying strategic growth opportunities across markets.
As part of his mandate, Manit is driving initiatives to scale CMC’s presence across key geographies through strategic stock points, expanded distribution networks, and deeper engagement with the architecture, design, and interiors community. Parallelly, he is also spearheading efforts to integrate AI and technology into operations to improve efficiency, traceability, and customer experience.
The company said the technology-led initiatives include RFID-enabled product tracking and virtual gallery tours, with a broader vision to build immersive digital experiences for customers and partners. Manit is also actively evaluating mergers and acquisitions in India and overseas as part of the organisation’s larger expansion strategy.
Manit’s association with CMC began through the company’s Centre of Excellence programme, which was designed to build leadership depth through cross-functional exposure. Over the years, he developed operational and strategic expertise across business functions and now steps into the CSO role while continuing to remain associated with the programme.
An alumnus of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, Manit studied Business Administration with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship.
As Chief Strategy Officer, he is also leading CMC’s sustainability initiatives, including the company’s carbon emission reduction roadmap, transition to electric machinery, water recycling systems, and solar-powered operations across facilities. The company is additionally exploring alternative materials such as bio-resins as part of its future sustainability efforts.
Alongside these initiatives, Manit will continue to shape the growth of KalingaStone, CMC’s flagship engineered marble brand, across key domestic and international markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Amit Shah, Founder and Managing Director, Classic Marble Company, said, “CMC is at an important inflection point as we continue to expand our global footprint and strengthen our position as a design-led surfaces brand. Manit’s appointment reflects our focus on building long-term strategic capability within the organisation. He will play a key role in shaping our growth roadmap, strengthening market access, and advancing our efforts towards a more sustainable and future-ready business.”

Mohanraj Jagannivasan, CEO, Classic Marble Company, said, “Developing next-generation leadership is a key priority for us at CMC. Manit’s journey within the organisation reflects a deep understanding of the business and a strong strategic perspective, built through hands-on experience across functions. As we scale globally, with exports set to grow significantly across key markets like the GCC, Africa, the U.S., and the far East, his role will be critical in strengthening our market access and driving this next phase of growth.”
