Laugh and bond with your mother, she loves you despite you’re all the stupid things you have done and surely will do in the future.
Citizen Khan – Premieres 2nd May at 10:30pm
Citizen Khan is set in Sparkhill, East Birmingham, described by its lead character, Mr. Khan, as “the capital of British Pakistan.” The show follows the trials and tribulations of Mr. Khan, a loud-mouthed, patriarchal, self-appointed, cricket-loving community leader, and his long suffering wife and family. The Khans decide to have a family day out to visit Farley Manor, owned by Lord Anstruther, which is putting on a display of Indian treasures collected during the British Raj. Mr Khan’s efforts to impress the council committee are put on hold while he takes Naani around the old manor. He becomes much keener on all things ancient and Indian after meeting Lord Anstruther, but his hopes of hobnobbing with the aristocracy are jeopardised by Naani’s sticky fingers.
