Mumbai: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP (Deloitte India) has announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud, under which Deloitte will serve as a Premier Partner, reseller, and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) for Google Cloud in India. The collaboration is aimed at helping Indian enterprises and public sector organisations strengthen cyber resilience by combining Deloitte’s global cybersecurity advisory expertise with Google Cloud’s AI-driven security operations portfolio.
The partnership focuses on enabling organisations to better manage cyber risks amid accelerating digital transformation, rising regulatory expectations, and an increasingly AI-enabled threat landscape. By integrating Deloitte’s advisory and managed security capabilities with Google Cloud’s advanced security technologies, the alliance seeks to deliver scalable, cloud-native, and compliant cybersecurity solutions tailored to the Indian market.

Commenting on the partnership, Tarun Kaura, Partner, Deloitte India, said, “In an era where digital trust is the currency of businesses, our alliance with Google Cloud marks a significant milestone for the Indian market. By combining Deloitte’s deep industry knowledge and cybersecurity legacy with Google Cloud’s pioneering technology, we are building a resilient digital infrastructure for India. Deloitte’s advisory layer will also help ensure that Google Cloud’s security tools are deployed in line with Indian regulatory frameworks and mandates, simplifying compliance.”
Through this collaboration, Deloitte will support clients in designing and operating modern Security Operations Centres (SOCs), migrating legacy environments to the cloud, and adopting security-as-a-service models. These capabilities are intended to improve threat detection and response, enhance data protection, and reduce the need for organisations to build and manage large in-house SOC teams.

Explaining the rationale behind the alliance, Anand Tiwari, Partner, Deloitte India, said, “The reasons for this partnership are multifold. As organisations across India accelerate their digital transformation, they are facing a combination of challenges, including an AI-enabled threat landscape, rising expectations around data localisation and regulatory compliance, an acute cybersecurity talent gap and fragmented security tools that limit visibility. The partnership has been established to address these needs with an integrated, cloud-native security operations approach that uses AI to help defend against AI-enabled threats, consolidate security data and tooling and provide managed security services at scale.”
The partnership will focus on deploying and managing key Google Cloud security solutions, including Google Security Operations, a cloud-native platform that enables high-speed analysis of large-scale security data and supports 24/7 managed detection and response services; Google Cloud Cybershield™, designed to help governments and critical infrastructure providers build state- or national-level cyber defence centres; and Google Threat Intelligence, which combines insights from Mandiant, VirusTotal, and Google to proactively identify and mitigate emerging threats.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the collaboration, Sandeep Patil, Head of Security Partners & Managed Services, Google Cloud, Asia Pacific and Japan, said, “Security is not an add-on; it is the foundation of all digital innovation. We are delighted to deepen our collaboration with Deloitte India. As a Premier Partner and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), Deloitte is well-positioned to operationalise our AI-first security platform for Indian enterprises. Together, we are committed to democratising access to nation-state grade security capabilities for organisations across the region.”
While Deloitte and Google Cloud maintain a global security partnership, this expanded engagement is specifically focused on India, reflecting the growing importance of data localisation, sector-specific regulations, and context-aware cyber defence. The collaboration will cater to key sectors including BFSI, energy, manufacturing, large conglomerates, consumer businesses, and government and public sector organisations.
The partnership also aims to help organisations align technology implementation with Indian regulatory and policy requirements, including guidelines issued by the RBI, SEBI, IRDA, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), and global frameworks such as GDPR.

Jyoti Prakash, Head of Security Sales, Google Cloud, India, said, “The combination of Google Cloud security innovations and Deloitte’s strategic implementation capabilities creates a formidable defence stack. We are empowering Indian organisations with the ability to detect, investigate and respond to threats at the speed and scale of Google. This partnership helps to ensure that our most advanced tools, including Gemini in Security, are effectively adopted to reduce security team burnout and close the cybersecurity talent gap.”
Operationally, the collaboration seeks to shift cybersecurity from a reactive to a proactive defence model by leveraging AI and automation. Advanced AI capabilities will allow security analysts to query data using natural language, significantly reducing investigation time, while global threat intelligence insights will help organisations anticipate and defend against emerging cyber risks.
