Chennai: The digital Media assets of Puthiyathalaimurai such as the Facebook page, YouTube Channel has witnessed a record-breaking surge in Traffic while the platform’s ranking Alexa reached its chart-topping performance during the COVID-19 Lockdown period.
The Facebook page of Puthiyathalaimurai has the highest engagement than any other channel in both the News and Entertainment category in Tamil Media space. PT FB Page has clocked 19 million views during the period of 27th March to 2nd April 2020. The FB handle of Polimer News, which leads market among News Channels, stood at No. 2 with 11.5 million views while Star Vijay featured at No. 3 with 11.2 million.
YouTube channel viewership of Puthiyathalaimurai increased by nearly 183% for the last 10 days compared to the pre corona period. During COVID -19 period of 21st March to 31st March PT’s YouTube views crossed 91 million against the traffic of 49 million viewers during the previous 10 days (11th March to 20th March 2020)
Puthiyathalaimurai stood on top Alexa ranking compare to other Tamil News channels with its India Ranking of 1423 and Global Ranking of 18154, followed by Polimer News at No. 2 with India Ranking of 2429 and Global Ranking of 27602. Thanthi TV and News7 Tamil stood at No. 3 and No.4 respectively.
