Dish TV awards its Media duties to MEC

Mumbai : The Zee Entertainment Enterprises DTH arm and India’s No.1 DTH operator Dish TV which also has the credit of being the largest DTH operator in Asia and 3rd largest in the world, has decide to award its Media Duties to MEC.

Dish TV was the first Operator to provide DTH services in India and acted as the front runner in the DTH revolution since then. With digitisation phase III and IV to be rolled out in near future , the brand is planning for significant growth in all aspects right from retaining its existing 16 million plus subscriber base and hunt for growth increasing the it further.

Speaking on the development MEC India MAD T Gangadhar said, “We are delighted with this win. We, look forward to (our partnership with) Dish TV on their quest for disproportionate share of the digitisation opportunity. We are particularly excited about leveraging the power of data for smart, business-oriented solutions.”

MEC is 100 per cent WPP-owned and is a founding member of GroupM. In India, the agency manages a prestigious roster of clients. Dish TV to its credit has brought many new technology to the Indian DTH space apart from being the 1st ever DTH operator in Indian market such as the Mobile DTH for watching TV’s on the move and MPEG 4 STB’s etc… The Operator has roped in the King Khan Shahruk as its Brand Ambassador.

On the other hand Dish TV’s Executive Vice President – Marketing Anjali Malhotra, said, “We pride ourselves in being Asia’s largest DTH company that understands the dynamics of the new age consumer and his needs. We have not only provided innovative product solutions and finest services to our consumers, but build smart go-to market strategies and communication plans. Agency change is a manifestation of this philosophy. We are excited to work with MEC India and believe that the group will help us communicate more strategically and efficiently in this rapidly evolving marketplace”.

Dish TV’s brand portfolio is now armored with multiple products and offerings especially, for technology savvy users (like) recorders in SD/ HD, a strong HD content basket, dish-online for streaming on mobile devices and so on. The coming months are full of action and challenges both in terms of festivals & events and sporting actions.
