Fairfest strengthens global presence with WTE Miami acquisition

Miami: Fairfest Media, the organiser of OTM—Asia’s leading travel trade show—has announced the acquisition of WTE Miami, one of the fastest-growing travel trade shows in the United States. The move marks a major milestone in Fairfest’s global expansion strategy, significantly enhancing its footprint in the U.S. and the wider Americas.

With three strong editions since its launch in 2022, WTE Miami has rapidly built a reputation as a trusted and influential platform for the global travel and tourism industry. Hosted at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the event receives full support from Miami International Airport (MIA) as Host, Miami-Dade County, and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Over the years, leading national tourism organizations, convention bureaus, airlines and global travel brands have participated, making WTE Miami a key marketplace for industry insights and business development.

American Airlines, Avianca, Delta Airlines, Bahamas, Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, FrenchBee, Jamaica and Mexico are among the prominent names associated with the event. U.S. travel and tourism associations and major consortia continue to deepen their partnerships with WTE Miami, expanding its relevance and reach each year.

The 2025 edition of WTE Miami brought together more than 300 exhibitors and 3,500 travel industry professionals, including hundreds of hosted buyers. With WTE Miami 2026 set to double in size, the show is positioned to deliver even greater ROI-driven opportunities, enhanced B2B networking, and strong media visibility in Miami — South Florida’s multicultural hub and a key gateway to the Americas.

Fairfest’s acquisition builds on its long-standing expertise as a global travel trade show organiser, working with tourism boards, national tourism organizations, airlines and hotel groups from over 80 countries. In the past three decades, more than 15,000 travel brands and 100,000 industry professionals from 120+ countries have participated in Fairfest’s portfolio of events.

Set to take place on October 27–28, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the next edition of WTE Miami promises a significant expansion. With a plan to double participation, the event will introduce new platforms for industry dialogue, innovative tourism opportunities, and stronger global engagement—solidifying its position as a premier international travel trade show.
