New Delhi: The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has announced the continuation of PKSV Sagar, President, GMR Sports, as Chairperson of its Sports Committee for another term. Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer, Adani Sportsline, will continue as Co-Chairperson, while Neha Mathur Rastogi, Founder, WordsWork Communications, will remain Secretary of the committee and Convenor of TURF, FICCI’s flagship annual sports conclave.
The reappointment of PKSV Sagar reflects FICCI’s sustained focus on strengthening India’s sports ecosystem through structured policy advocacy, industry collaboration, and increased private sector participation. During the previous term, the committee played a key role in driving sectoral recommendations, commissioning studies, and encouraging investments in grassroots sports development across key states.
Commenting on his re-election, Sagar stated, “I am deeply honored and humbled by the trust the members of FICCI have once again placed in me to lead the Sports Committee. Being re-elected is not just a personal milestone, but a testament to the collective strides we have made as a committee in advocating for a sports-conscious India with active and purpose driven involvement from the corporate sector.”
Recognising the contributions of the Sports Committee, Anant Goenka, President, FICCI, and Jyoti Vij, Director General, FICCI, congratulated the re-elected members and extended their best wishes for the upcoming term, reaffirming FICCI’s commitment to building a strong, sustainable and globally competitive sports ecosystem in India.
