Godrej Consumer Products launch Good Knight Neem coil in South Indian Market

Bangalore: Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), India’s leading FMCG Company, today announced the launch of Good knight Neem Low Smoke Coil. This latest entrant in the Household Insecticides (HI) category has been infused with visible cues of neem using advanced technology that lends enhanced power of neem to the coil.

At a time when Dengue and Malaria cases are at a rise, Good knight Neem Low Smoke Coil has been designed to be the most effective and long-lasting solution in the category provided by the Company. The product, priced at only Rs. 33 for 10 coils, will be accessible to millions of Indian homes that do not use any solution currently.

Godrej Consumer Products Limited is a dominant leader in the 3800 Cr Household Insecticide (HI) market with brands like GoodKnight & HIT leading the industry across all the major formats – Coils, Liquid Vapourizer and Aerosols. (AC nelson report 2015)

This innovation comes into the format which is the largest format in the HI category and has the highest penetration with 8 crore homes. Goodknight Neem Low Smoke Coil is a breakthrough in this format as for the first time neem has been used as a constructive solution against mosquitoes.

Announcing the launch of Good knight Neem Low Smoke Coil, Ajay Dang, Vice President, Marketing, Home Care, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. said, “As pioneers in the Household Insecticide category for over 30 years, we have been known for our innovative and effective product solutions. With the sudden rise of mosquito infestation cases in the country, it was need of the hour to offer a superior solution to the consumers. We felt the need to bring out an effective product that is easy to use by a large set of homes in India and is available at an attractive price point. The launch of Good knight Neem Low Smoke Coil is a positive step towards that direction. Neem is a natural and an age mosquito repellent and the new coil also has low intensity smoke which makes the new product more attractive to Indian homes. I am sure our consumers will pay heed to our latest offering and appreciate the efficacy of the new Good knight Neem coil”.

Neem has strong Indian roots with curative properties and is also considered a natural mosquito repellent. This newcoil has active+ technology which burns for 12 hours demonstrating its lasting effect. The TVC telecast of this campaign showcases an interesting storyboard and an engaging tagline “Neem Andar, Macchar Bahar”.
