Mumbai: Google Pay, in partnership with TBWA\Lintas, has unveiled its latest campaign spotlighting ‘Google Pay Pocket Money’, a new feature built on UPI Circle in collaboration with National Payments Corporation of India.
The campaign unfolds through a series of relatable films that follow teenagers across different walks of life. While confident and capable in most situations, they often encounter friction when it comes to making payments, relying on parents or older siblings. Google Pay Pocket Money aims to address this gap by enabling teenagers to link their UPI IDs directly to their parents’ bank accounts, offering financial independence with real-time parental oversight and control.
At the centre of the campaign is Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, a 15-year-old cricket sensation known for his record-breaking performances across domestic and international cricket. The films showcase Vaibhav and other teenagers navigating everyday situations independently, using the feature to make seamless digital payments.
Through relatable storytelling, the campaign highlights how Google Pay Pocket Money mirrors the independence teenagers already exercise in other areas of their lives, while ensuring parents remain securely in the loop.

Speaking about the campaign, Vasudha Misra, President – Creative, TBWA\ Lintas said, “Teenage years, whether they are spent breaking records in the IPL or going for tuitions, are usually the time when young adults get their first taste of independence. And responsibility. Pocket Money on Google Pay is a wonderful way (a parent’s PoV here) to introduce them to digital finance and handling money, while equipping them to chase their dreams.”
The campaign is being rolled out across television, digital, and social media platforms, with key visibility during the ongoing IPL 2026 season, reinforcing Google Pay’s focus on enabling early financial literacy and responsible digital transactions among young users.
