Mumbai: YouTube has announced the appointment of Gunjan Soni as the Country Managing Director for India, marking a significant leadership move as the platform gears up for its next phase of expansion in one of its most dynamic markets.
Gunjan brings with her over 20 years of diverse leadership experience across business, technology, marketing, and e-commerce sectors. Most recently, she served as Group CEO of ZALORA in Singapore, where she spearheaded innovations, introduced new business models, and enhanced customer engagement through successful personalization initiatives and loyalty programs.
Prior to her tenure at ZALORA, Soni built a strong foundation in the Indian media and consumer sectors. She served as EVP at Star India and held the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Myntra. She began her career at McKinsey & Company, where she became a Partner in the Consumer and Marketing practice. In addition to her operational leadership, Gunjan also serves on the board of CBRE Group, a Fortune 500 company.
