Indonesia: Gupshup, a Conversational AI Engagement, has appointed Trisnia Anchali Kardia as its new Country Head for Indonesia. In her new role, Anchali will focus on expanding Gupshup’s enterprise business and driving market leadership in Indonesia’s rapidly growing conversational AI sector.

Anchali brings over a decade of experience in business messaging, technology sales, and e-commerce to Gupshup. She has a proven track record in scaling businesses and driving revenue growth across various tech and messaging sectors. Her deep expertise in Indonesia’s dynamic digital landscape is poised to accelerate Gupshup’s growth and further solidify its position as the go-to platform for businesses seeking innovative conversational AI solutions.

Prior to joining Gupshup, Anchali served as the Country Head at Graas, a leading e-commerce analytics company, where she played a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by over 120% and significantly expanding the company’s client base. Earlier in her career, she held key positions at major tech companies, including Telkomsel, Indonesia’s largest telecom operator, where she spearheaded the launch of the company’s digital advertising business, focusing on location-based advertising.

Anchali also held leadership roles at Zomato Indonesia and Line Corporation, where she was the Chief Commercial Officer for Line’s enterprise messaging product. At Line, she led marketing, product initiatives, and business development efforts, further strengthening her reputation as an expert in the messaging ecosystem.

With Indonesia’s tech ecosystem booming, Gupshup sees the country as a critical market for growth. The appointment of Anchali comes at a time when demand for conversational commerce solutions is on the rise. Indonesia’s dynamic digital landscape, coupled with evolving consumer behaviors, positions conversational AI as a key driver of business success.

Indonesia is one of Southeast Asia’s most promising growth markets for Conversational AI. The country’s digital transformation, coupled with the rise of mobile-first consumers and the growing adoption of AI-driven solutions, makes it an ideal market for Gupshup’s innovative offerings.

The conversational commerce industry in Indonesia is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19% between 2022 and 2028. The market’s transaction value is projected to increase from $12.7 billion in 2023 to $30.3 billion by 2028, reflecting the growing demand for seamless business-to-consumer conversational messaging solutions.

Gupshup is already working with leading brands in Indonesia, including Gojek, Tokopedia, SuperIndo, Cinepolis, Rupa Rupa, and OLX. These partnerships highlight Gupshup’s strong presence in the country and its ability to provide businesses with end-to-end solutions that leverage messaging as a core channel for customer engagement.
