Mumbai: The Coronavirus pandemic has created anxiety and distress worldover. While many businesses have been hit due to the lockdown caused by the virus, it’s also a time when brands are finding new ways to connect with consumers. Instead of running usual brand campaigns, businesses are using their platforms to spread awareness about how to fight COVID-19.
Hiver, a SaaS based email collaboration platform for teams, has launched a social media campaign encouraging people to practise social distancing to fight COVID-19. Hiver is communicating the practices of social distancing in a fun and light-hearted way. Using its brand mascot, which is an adorable bee, Hiver is conveying best practices such as greeting with an ‘Indian Namaste’ instead of a handshake, washing hands and wearing masks.
Earlier in April, Hiver rolled out a special plan to support businesses at the forefront of this fight. It rolled out a two-months free plan for any organisation offering essential services or helping control the spread of the virus at this critical time. Since Hiver helps teams collaborate over emails, the objective is to help these organizations work faster and more efficiently.
Hiver is committed to providing support to organizations through this initiative across the country. It is a global company with clients in as many as 30 countries and understands technological requirements vis-a-vis communication and collaboration in times like these.

COVID-19 has not only disrupted human lives, animals and insects have been affected too. While some have ventured into cities to get a taste of the urban life, others are giving social distancing a shot. Particularly, the Hiver bees. Though effortless extroverts, the Hiver bees have had to curb their buzzing lifestyle and practice social distancing – for the greater good of the society. That means they’ve had to put an end to those Friday and Saturday nights of never-ending honey cocktails. No more heading out on dates or even pollen hunting. Instead, the bees spend most of their time working from home, re-watching the Bee Movie every other day, or video calling fellow bees from neighboring hives (who said there's a dearth of high-speed internet connectivity in the hive?!). In fact, we decided to give you a sneak peek into what life is like for the Hiver bees. Chances are, you’d get inspired and could pick up a thing or two to follow during these times. #covid19 #coronavirus #socialdistancing #personalhygiene #stayhome #staysafe #stayhealthy #stayindoors #bees #washyourhands #workfromhome #remotework #lifelessons #namaste #lifestylechange #lifestyle
