Mumbai: Radio City, India’s first premium radio network, kept the country grooving with one of its  kind initiative–A First ever live Radio Concert – Gig City, by India’s biggest music maestros performing live at one platform for 15weeks. FromFarhan, Shaan to Salim-Sulaiman and Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Radio City listeners’ got to experience the feel of a live concert at their comfort.

Speaking of the concert, Sunidhi Chauhan said, “An audience of 5 crore people fills you with amazing energy and it’s not something I have done ever before. I’ve done live concerts since the age of four, and yet this was once-in-a-lifetime experience!” Adding to this Ayushmann Khurrana said “Gig City was a mind-blowing concept brilliantly executed, and it was terrific to be able to let emotion flow freely with the audience “

Gig City reached 5crore Indians and reached a mark of 100.3 million impressions across social media platforms. Gig City, India’s first radio concert in association with multiple leading music composers, singers and musicians, was well received across the nation, with 5 crore Indians tuning in. On Social media platforms the concert garnered tremendous response with an overall reach of 100.3 million. All the artists trended during their respective day of performance. In the first week itself, Radio City’s Gig City witnessed an upsurge in share percentage from9.4%- 12.3%. Also the TSL during the launch week doubled. (Source: RAM Mumbai, TG All 12+, Week 24- 25)

Part of a series of firsts, including being India’s first private FM player, India’s first on web radio and first to introduce humor on radio, Gig City is a yet another pioneering initiative by Radio City to have set a benchmark in the radio space.
