Chennai: JFW, South India’s leading community for women hosted the 10th edition of its Awards for women achievers on Saturday, September 15th, 2018, at Sir Mutha Venkata Subbarao Hall in Chennai.
The award night was presented by Parvathy Hospital; Co-presented by Dazzler Liquid Make-up in association with Nippon Paint. The year’s most awaited Awards ceremony was one night of glitz and inspiration with film personalities and stalwarts of various fields gracing the stage.
The list of Awardees included Poorna Malavath (Youngest girl to climb Mt.Everest), TK Anuradha (ISRO scientist), Kausalya Sankar (Dalit Activist), Manju Warrier (Actress, Dancer & Philanthrophist), Bombay Jayshri (Carnatic & Playback singer), Aruna Reddy (Gymnast), Keerthy Suresh (Multi-lingual Actress), and Sudha Ramalingam (Lawyer & Activist). The awardees were presented by peers from the film industry and the business world. Presenters included stalwarts such as filmmaker Rajeev Menon, Director Rajesh and RadhaMohan, Producer Dhanajayan along with film actors Jayam Ravi, Arun Vijay, Simran, Pooja Kumar, Jayaprakash, and composer/actor GV Prakash.
The power packed performance of Bigg Boss Fame, Bindu Madhavi was scintillating, while Lakshmi film fame, Ditya, dancing to Prabhu Deva hits was electric! Musical rendition by singers NSK Ramya and Devan made for a refreshing evening. Empowerment was the tone of the evening with our awardees and presenters acknowledging the power of women on a grand platform.
