Mumbai: Jiostar India Pvt. Ltd. has secured an interim order from the Delhi High Court on 11.03.2026 in a petition filed under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act against Absolute Legends Sports Pvt. Ltd. in relation to the Legends League Cricket tournament. The tournament was scheduled to kickoff the same day.
During the hearing, counsel for Absolute Legends informed the Court that an affidavit would be filed disclosing all commercial transactions currently being undertaken by the company, including agreements executed in relation to the league.
Absolute Legends also undertook that receivables arising from any commercial arrangements connected to the league would be deposited before the Court in an account to be opened by the Ld. Registrar General.
The Court further directed that the directors of Absolute Legends file affidavits setting out the commercial arrangements and receivables relating to the league.
The matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of the Delhi High Court, where the parties were scheduled to appear on 13 March 2026. The case is listed before the Court again on 17 March 2026 for further proceedings.
