Mumbai: In a landmark move for India’s esports industry, JetSynthesys has announced that Season 2 of the Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL) will be broadcast on JioStar’s linear and OTT platforms. For the very first time, the league will be aired on national television, offering fans 5 to 8 hours of LIVE e-cricket action daily on Star Sports and JioHotstar, from April 27 to May 2, between 11 AM and 8 PM.
The broadcast partnership signals the dramatic rise of the world’s first-ever e-cricket league — transitioning from a breakout debut to joining India’s top-tier sporting properties. Season 2, hosted in Bengaluru, brings with it a massive ₹3.05 crore prize pool, up from ₹2.51 crore in Season 1, and will feature 34 high-stakes matches played using Real Cricket™. The league sticks to its team-based format and reflects incredible growth in popularity — player registrations have soared from 200,000 in Season 1 to over 910,000 this year, a testament to the rising appeal of competitive e-cricket.
