McLean: Mars, Incorporated, the family-owned global leader in pet care, snacking, and food, has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Kellanova, uniting two powerhouse businesses with portfolios of some of the world’s most beloved consumer brands.
Kellanova’s portfolio—including Pringles®, Cheez-It®, Pop-Tarts®, Rice Krispies Treats®, RXBAR® and Kellogg’s international cereal brands—will now join the Mars Snacking family alongside billion-dollar brands such as SNICKERS®, M&M’s®, TWIX®, DOVE®, SKITTLES®, EXTRA®, KIND® and Nature’s Bakery®. The combination positions Mars Snacking to shape the future of the global snacking category and expand its reach to millions more consumers worldwide.

The enhanced Mars Snacking division will operate across high-growth categories, further expanding its lineup of billion-dollar brands and strengthening its Accelerator division with complementary offerings such as RXBAR®, Nutri-Grain® bars, and Special K® bars.
Mars initially announced its agreement to acquire Kellanova on August 14, 2024. The deal received Kellanova shareowner approval on November 1, 2024, and has now secured all required regulatory clearances as of December 8, 2025.
