Hyderabad: Star India’s Telugu satellite channel Maa TV is set to launch the 3rd season of Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, the Telugu version of KBC by today (27th November) at 9:00 PM with a special episode that features the father and son duo Akkineni Nagarjuna, who happened to be the man in hot seat to host the show for the third consecutive season and his younger son Akkineni Akhil, who entered the Telugu film Industry recently in his debut film also titled as Akhil.
The First Episode of Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu Season 3 on Maa TV is expected to attract huge audience as the channel has promoted the same extensively with the Promos on chemistry of father-son duos. (see promo in the bottom)
The Father and son are known for their wonderful chemistry despite their respect for each other. In this episode Actor Nagarjuna is expected to discuss and reveal many interesting facts about his younger son and Actor Akhil will also be expressing his experience in his debut film that includes a slip during a stunt scene shoot.
Maa TV has invited for the audition of MEK 3 during August month itself and took its time to complete various rounds of audition process.
As revealed earlier on tvnews4u.com, the channel has slotted the show in its 9:00 PM time band instead of the previous season’s time band at 9:30 PM. The change in strategy is likely to attract more audience both from rural and urban market.
The 1st season of MEK enjoyed very good opening and delivered good ratings throughout the season. The 2nd season, which was launched in quick succession has seen certain low rating areas despite a good numbers towards the end.
Maa TV was facing stiff competition from Zee Telugu and after the release of BARC Rural data, ETV Telugu has dominated both and created a further complicated situation. The channel is betting Big on this show to establish a decent supremacy over other Telugu GECs.
