New Relic appoints Simon Rizkalla as Vice President of Customer Advocacy for Asia-Pacific and Japan

Bangalore: New Relic, the Intelligent Observability company, has announced the appointment of Simon Rizkalla as Vice President of Customer Advocacy for Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ). Rizkalla brings more than 25 years of enterprise SaaS, AI, and digital infrastructure experience to the role, strengthening New Relic’s leadership team in one of its fastest-growing markets.

Prior to joining New Relic, Rizkalla served as Co-founder and CEO of HybridAI, and has held senior sales and leadership positions across Asia Pacific at Cisco, Red Hat, and Alcatel-Lucent.

Based in Singapore, Rizkalla will lead customer advocacy across the APJ region, partnering with enterprises to accelerate adoption, address business challenges, and help customers achieve and exceed their observability goals.

“The depth and breadth of experience that Simon holds – particularly within the Asia Pacific observability space – makes him a perfect fit for the role,” said Rob Newell, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific and Japan, New Relic. “Asia Pacific is a critical growth region for New Relic. I have no doubt that Simon’s passion for leading high performing teams, coupled with his ethos of making customer success the heart of everything he does, will take our team and valued customers to new heights.”

New Relic’s Intelligent Observability Platform enables businesses to eliminate interruptions in digital experiences, drive innovation, and enhance performance. According to the 2025 Observability Forecast for Asia Pacific, organisations across the region are increasingly using observability to monitor AI initiatives, reduce outage frequency, and improve business outcomes.

It’s a strategic capability central to how companies manage risk, ensure reliability, innovate with AI, optimise costs, and comply with regulation,” said Simon Rizkalla, Vice President of Customer Advocacy, Asia Pacific and Japan, New Relic. “Now is the time for Asia Pacific organisations to embrace observability.
