Mumbai: JioHotstar has unveiled the trailer of Pharma, actor Nivin Pauly’s first-ever web series, via its JioHotstar Malayalam handle. The medical drama, “inspired by real events”, is set to premiere on the platform on December 19.
Adding to the excitement, Bollywood veteran Rajit Kapur makes a notable return to Malayalam entertainment after a decade through Pharma. The series is written and directed by P.R. Arun and produced by Krishnan Sethukumar under the Moviee Mill banner.
Pharma follows the compelling journey of K.P. Vinod, a medical representative whose life unfolds across multiple phases marked by emotion, conflict and ethical dilemmas within the pharma industry. The series features an ensemble cast including Binu Pappu, Narain, Shruti Ramachandran, Veena Nandakumar, Muthumani and Aalekh Kapoor.
The creators highlight that the visual and narrative experience is elevated through Sreejith Sarang’s crisp editing and Abinandhan Ramanujam’s striking cinematography, offering viewers a fresh and immersive watch.
Packed with gripping story elements and strong performances, Pharma will begin streaming exclusively on JioHotstar from December 19.
