Seen through the eyes of the iconic First Lady, Jackie Kennedy (Natalie Portman), the movie chronicles one of the most important and tragic moments in American history. Following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the First Lady fights through grief and trauma to regain her faith, console her children and define her husband’s historic legacy.
Jackie quickly realizes that the days immediately after the assassination will determine how history will define her husband’s legacy and how she herself will be remembered. Aware that news is the first rough draft of history, she summons a journalist (Billy Crudup) to the Kennedy compound just a week after her husband’s death to narrate their story.
