Mumbai: Swiss watchmaker Rado has announced Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana as its newest Friend of the Brand, reinforcing its growing association with the sport and its focus on performance-driven partnerships.
One of the most prominent faces in global women’s cricket, Mandhana brings together on-field excellence and cultural influence. Known for her fearless approach, elegance, and confidence, she aligns closely with Rado’s design philosophy rooted in innovation and expressive aesthetics.
As part of the association, Mandhana recently joined the brand in Switzerland for its 40-year celebrations of high-tech ceramic, where she was seen wearing the Rado True Square Open Heart. The timepiece, characterised by its open-worked dial and sculptural geometry, reflects a balance of strength and finesse—mirroring her playing style and persona.
The partnership further strengthens Rado’s long-standing engagement with cricket, a sport that shares parallels with watchmaking in precision, timing, and performance. The brand continues to draw inspiration from traditional Swiss craftsmanship while advancing material innovation through its expertise in high-tech ceramic.
“Rado continually sets new standards and surpasses all expectations,” she said. “That’s exactly how I approach cricket – and life in general. Becoming a Friend of the Brand feels like a natural partnership.”
Mandhana joins a growing roster of cricketing ambassadors associated with Rado, including Kagiso Rabada and Cameron Green, further underlining the brand’s strategic alignment with global cricket talent.
On the field, Mandhana continues to build an impressive career. As captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, she recently led the team to victory in the 2026 season of the Women’s Premier League, adding to their earlier title win in 2024. She also serves as vice-captain of the India women’s national cricket team, reinforcing her leadership credentials at the international level.
Her achievements include being the highest run-scorer at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 and being named ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year in 2024, alongside earlier global recognitions. Over the years, she has set multiple records, including the fastest century by an Indian in women’s ODIs and becoming one of the quickest players to reach 10,000 international runs.
Beyond cricket, Mandhana has emerged as a cultural icon with a strong presence across media and fashion, regularly featuring on leading magazine covers and bridging the worlds of sport and style.

Commenting on the association, Adrian Bosshard, CEO, Rado, said, “Smriti is a dynamic modern Indian icon. Through her talent, dedication and self-confidence, she has transformed her dreams into reality. Her influence extends far beyond the cricket field, and she stands as a remarkable example to young women everywhere. At Rado we feel a strong connection to her drive and ambition, and look forward to accompanying her on the next steps of her journey.”
