Rajasekar KS pens ‘How to Read Your Husband Like a Book’, offering fresh insight into the inner workings of a husband’s mind

Rajasekar KS, GM Marketing, Matrimony.com has turned into an author with the book titled, ‘How to Read Your Husband Like a Book’- a book that helps married women understand the inner mind of a husband and enriches their relationship. ‘How to Read Your Husband Like a Book’ is Rajasekar’s attempt to decode how men think and act in various situations. The intention is to help the newly married woman understand their “man” and enrich their relationship with this new understanding. You’re sure to have “aha” moments as you flip through it.

In a world where the husband-wife relationship is good fodder for stand-up comedy, this easy-to-read book offers fresh insight into the inner workings of a “husband’s mind”. Through humorous nuggets and simple illustrations, ‘How to Read Your Husband Like a Book’ explains how a husband ‘thinks’, what makes him ‘respond’ the way he does, his ‘reaction’ to certain situations that crop up in married life and what a wife can do to avoid friction and get her own way.

“I’ve always been intrigued by man-woman relationships. I’m married for 25 years now. The last eight years, I’ve been in the matchmaking industry with the Indian online matrimony leader, BharatMatrimony, where I spearheaded projects, including the launch of ‘happymarriages.com, India’s guide to a happy marriage’, the ‘Happy Marriage Workshops’ attended by over 30,000 people and a ‘Happy Couples’ program that included over 1500 interviews with newly married couples. So, I have enough experience and passion for the subject of my book,” said Rajasekar.

“Although I’ve been working on my book since 2015, the pandemic was the catalyst. The untold story of marital relationships suffering due to lack of breathing space and accentuation of a couple’s quirks, inadequacies during the unusual proximity, fuelled by the pandemic pushed me to complete the last bit and publish,” he added.

On Responses from the readers

It’s been only a week since the launch, and the feedback has been awesome. The women seem to be loving it. An advertising copywriter said, “it’s highly accurate. It’s a fun and insightful read.” A well-known book reviewer blogger, the married man said, made him aware of things he’s done and said unknowingly.

Raksha Bharadia, Editor – Chicken Soup for the Indian Soul series of 13 books, and Founder – Bonobology.com says, “So simply put and hits the nail almost every time… Such a simple way to understand how men respond to common situations and what actually they feel about it. The classic insight for me was “to get them to work just make them believe you cannot do it!”

“How to Read Your Husband Like a Book is a light, fun read, and the cute doddles just make one want to scroll and go the next to see what will it be this time!“ Dr Nisha Khanna, Marriage and Family Therapist, New Delhi, “An amusing read for all married women. It provides beneficial advice, and how! This is the perfect handbook to understand your husband, without getting into irksome arguments and discussions, an innovative way to put across a point effortlessly. The humorous approach has been a less explored route, making this book pique the reader’s curiosity and interest. The caricatures make you look, but the message makes you stay. Delightful, compelling and insightful.”

Any plans to write a book titled ‘How to read your wife like a book’?

“In the works for some time now. The men have been asking for it. The number of WhatsApp requests for that is heart-warming,” said Rajasekar.

So, all newly married women out there and even those who’ve been married for years and losing hair thinking about why they forget your birthday, leave wet towels on the bed, don’t notice your new hairstyle, watch TV when you talk to them – pick up this book and laugh your way through marriage! Husbands, it’s time to laugh at yourselves!
