Mumbai: Innovartan, the edtech company transforming competitive exam readiness for school students, has announced the appointment of Ravi Sharma as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Bringing with him a decade of experience in scaling tech infrastructure and leading deep-tech initiatives, Ravi is set to lead the company’s technology strategy and product innovation roadmap.
Prior to joining Innovartan, Ravi served as Vice President of Engineering at Inflection.io, where he successfully built and scaled the company’s Bengaluru operations and implemented large-scale data processing using Apache Flink. Before that, he was VP of Engineering at Embibe, overseeing a 300-member team and playing a pivotal role during the company’s $300 million funding phase.
Ravi was also selected as a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneurs First in Paris—a highly regarded program backed by tech leaders like Reid Hoffman, Greylock, and Founders Fund.
In his new role at Innovartan, Ravi will focus on accelerating the platform’s development of AI-powered, school-integrated test preparation solutions aimed at reducing students’ reliance on external coaching.
Prashant Sharma, Founder and CEO of Innovartan, expressed his enthusiasm, “We are thrilled to welcome Ravi to Innovartan as our CTO. His depth in building transformative tech products and his vision for meaningful impact perfectly align with our mission. As we move closer to our goal of building a ‘Coaching Free Bharat’, Ravi’s leadership will be vital in shaping solutions that empower every student—right from within their schools—with the resources and guidance to compete nationally without external coaching dependencies.”
Ravi Sharma shared his excitement about the new role, “I’m truly inspired by Innovartan’s mission to democratize access to competitive exam preparation. Education is one of the most powerful tools for empowerment, and I believe technology can make this transformation equitable and scalable. I’m excited to join Prashant and the team on this journey to make quality exam readiness accessible to all students, regardless of geography or background.”
Ravi’s appointment comes on the heels of Innovartan’s recent backing by prominent angel investors such as Gokul Rajaram and Amit Singhal. His leadership is expected to further strengthen Innovartan’s tech capabilities and accelerate its impact in the K–12 education sector.
