Hyderabad: Ravikant Sabnavis has stepped down as CEO of Arha Media & Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd., concluding a three-year stint at the helm of regional OTT platform AHA. His exit comes after completing his notice period in early April, according to sources familiar with the matter. The company is yet to announce his successor, and Sabnavis’ next move remains undisclosed.
During his tenure, Sabnavis played a pivotal role in reshaping AHA’s business trajectory, focusing on Telugu and Tamil-speaking markets. He is credited with driving a financial turnaround and strengthening the platform’s position in India’s increasingly competitive regional streaming landscape.
Confirming his departure, Sabnavis reflected on his time at the company, highlighting the progress made under his leadership. He noted that the organisation is now better positioned for future growth and expressed pride in the team’s achievements. He also shared plans to return to Mumbai and spend more time with his family.
Sabnavis’ exit marks another transition in a career spanning over three decades across media, FMCG, aviation, and sports marketing. Known for his ability to build and transform businesses, he has held several leadership roles across diverse sectors.
Before joining Arha Media, Sabnavis founded Innovative Oral Care, an FMCG venture for Clove Dental. His earlier roles include leading transformations at Star Pravah and Blitz Multimedia during his tenure with the UB Group. At Kingfisher Airlines, he served as Head of Marketing, overseeing brand strategy and customer experience, while also managing global marketing initiatives and sponsorships for the Force India Formula One team.
He began his career with leadership positions at Heinz India and Agro Tech Foods, laying the foundation for a career defined by strategic growth and business turnarounds.
Arha Media has not issued an official response on the leadership change so far.
