Mumbai: Refroid Technologies has appointed Vijay Sampathkumar as Chief Business Officer (CBO), as the company accelerates its global expansion in AI-driven datacenter infrastructure.
In his new role, Vijay will lead Refroid’s global go-to-market strategy, partnerships, and business expansion, with a focus on taking its India-built datacenter infrastructure solutions to international markets. The move aligns with the company’s broader ambition to scale its presence across global AI and high-performance computing ecosystems.
Vijay brings extensive experience in the datacenter cooling and infrastructure space, having previously served as Vice President & Country Manager – India and Southeast Asia at ZutaCore, where he led regional expansion and drove adoption of advanced liquid cooling technologies.
At Refroid, he will focus on strengthening strategic partnerships, accelerating adoption of next-generation cooling technologies, and expanding the company’s footprint across global AI datacenter ecosystems.

His mandate will span Refroid’s broader infrastructure portfolio, including single-phase direct-to-chip liquid cooling (DCLC), immersion cooling systems, hybrid load banks, and advanced datacenter testing and validation solutions.
In the initial phase, the company will prioritise partnerships with server OEMs, AI infrastructure providers, and datacenter operators, while accelerating adoption of liquid cooling technologies. Refroid also plans to position its hybrid load banks as critical solutions for testing and validating high-density AI datacenter environments.
With engineering and manufacturing rooted in India, Refroid Technologies aims to leverage the ‘Make in India’ initiative to build globally competitive, energy-efficient datacenter solutions, supporting the rapid growth of AI infrastructure worldwide.
