Mumbai: Miraj Entertainment Ltd has elevated Sameer Munshi to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), as the cinema exhibition company looks to strengthen its operational capabilities, expand its food and beverage (F&B) business and accelerate technology-led growth across its network.
Munshi, who previously served as Vice President of Operations and F&B, brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in managing large-scale malls and cinema exhibition operations. In his new role, he will oversee strategic growth across multi-location operations and business development while driving operational efficiencies and customer experience initiatives.
According to the company, Munshi will focus on implementing tighter operational benchmarking, standardising processes across properties and fostering a technology-enabled business culture. He will also lead the company’s F&B strategy, with emphasis on premiumisation, regional menu innovation and corporate brand collaborations aimed at increasing revenue from the segment. He will report directly to the Miraj Group leadership team.

Commenting on the appointment, Arvind Jain, Group CEO, Miraj Group, said, “Sameer’s promotion is a natural progression of the trust and results he has built at Miraj. His understanding of both cinema operations and F&B economics makes him the right leader to steer our growth ambitions forward. We are confident his stewardship will bring the same discipline and customer-first approach that has defined his career so far.”
Sharing his priorities in the new role, Sameer Munshi, COO, Miraj Entertainment Ltd, said, “F&B has emerged as a genuine growth engine for us… my focus is on tighter operational benchmarking and scalable, tech-enabled processes — turning Miraj’s operations into a real competitive edge, not just a support function.”
