Shemaroo launches ‘Jab We Met’ digital collection and games on The Sandbox

Shemaroo Entertainment, a major player in the entertainment industry, has partnered with Sandbox-BharatBox to debut the first digital collectible featuring ‘Geet’ from the film ‘Jab We Met’. This initiative will showcase prominent IPs and various digital collectibles from Shemaroo’s movies and characters, including immersive games, on The Sandbox-BharatBox metaverse platform.

Geet’s digital collectibles offer fans a chance to engage with iconic characters from ‘Jab We Met’ through interactive games, giving them the opportunity to win exclusive merchandise.

Shemaroo Entertainment and BharatBox will launch a campaign to introduce fans to the metaverse’s opportunities, aiming to generate new revenue streams and boost fan engagement. They will feature a collection of 3333 unique ‘Geet’ avatars from the ‘Jab We Met’ IP. This partnership will also showcase Shemaroo Entertainment’s Bollywood content library. Fans can participate in activities, quests, and social challenges to earn rewards and prizes, including unique digital collectibles and exclusive merchandise.

Jab We Met is a popular film in Shemaroo Entertainment’s library, with Geet’s character having broad appeal worldwide, making it significant for both Indian audiences and the global Indian community.

On the launch, Arghya Chakravarty, Chief Operating Officer, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. said, “By embracing new technologies, we aim to be future ready, catering to evolving needs of the consumers. The launch of the ‘Jab We Met’ immersive game and digital collectibles represents a significant step in our strategy to leverage the metaverse and expand our digital footprint. The Jab We Met avatar collection not only honors a film that has touched many lives but also sets a precedent for how we can keep cinematic wonders relevant and alive for years to come.”

BharatBox and ShemarooEntertainment will boost game, IP, and user experience creation on The Sandbox metaverse. BharatBox, within the Sandbox ecosystem, will aid in game design, gameplay, and immersive user experiences. This partnership connects Shemaroo Entertainment with BharatBox and The Sandbox’s global player and creator community in 12+ countries.
