Shilpa Shetty enters kids, teen clothing business through Zip Zap Zoop

MUMBAI: Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra has entered kid’s fashion with her venture Zip Zap Zoop. She has partnered with Ashmika Sadh.

Zip Zap Zoop is a clothing line for kids and teenagers. ‘Expressive Fashion For Kids’ is the motto of Zip Zap Zoop and the lineup aims to bring out the individuality and uniqueness of each child, helping them feel comfortable in expressing themselves to the fullest. The vision to instil confidence among the young generation for a brighter future. The company added that unlike any other brand, it will be starting with 500 styles to choose from right from the get-go. It said that it has employed over 100 workers directly and indirectly and aims to generate more employment opportunities in the coming years. The goal is to have 1000 workers.

Sheety has had a three-decade-long-acting career, a dancer and has also been an entrepreneur.

Shetty said that her enthusiasm for this venture stems from her concern about providing safety and comfort to children with the help of sustainable clothing materials which are chemical-free and easy on the younger ones’ delicate skin as well as the environment.

”I have always wanted to understand the manufacturing process, whether the dyes are chemical free, the fabric is azo-free, friendly for kids as well environmentally sustainable,” she said.

Co-founder Ashmika Sadh works in the world of manufacturing and exports. The aim is to make Zip Zap Zoop a 100 percent transparent brand, with 100 percent quality control over the process of production. Everything is ethically sourced, because we don’t allow any compromises for the children.

She said, “We have introduced some special kinds of fabrics in our line of clothing which are extremely soft, comfortable and hypoallergenic, suitable for children who have sensitive skin allergies. As we move forward, we will share more about our processes.”

Shetty added, “We are launching with a variety of styles and sizes, ranging Ages 0-19 years boys and girls, leaving very little room for any child to feel excluded from our world. Kids are very aware of how they want to be dressed and they want variety , ask me I’m a mom! Hence we are combining fashion with functionality so that every child can wear their personality. To cater to every individual style, we have gone that extra mile for our customers. Making it easy for parents and kids with an array of choices , We intend to build a loyal customer base in the coming months .”

Zip Zap Zoop added that along with bringing about a positive change in the emerging kid’s fashion industry, itis aware of shouldering its responsibility socially and environmentally. To date, 80 percent of the collection comprises sustainable fabrics like organic cotton and recycled polyester which have a lower environmental footprint and less wastage.
