Chennai : Zee Tamil is an important market for the Zee Network. Tamilnadu being a television savvy market, their key focus is to build this opportunity thereby making Zee Tamil as the most preferred and profitable channel.
Siju Prabhakaran – Business Head of Zee Kannada, will now take over as the Business Head- Zee Tamil, to achieve the above aspiration. He replaces N S Easwaran who has decided to pursue career outside the Zee Group. Siju has shown credible leadership in managing Zee Kannada Business. His ability to manage complexity and build a team with bonhomie to deliver on expectations, will stand us in good stead as he works with the current Zee Tamil team to deliver organization expectations.
Siju has been with the Zee Network for over 15 years now and has rich experience in sales as well. Siju for the above role will report to Mr Punit Goenka, MD & CEO of ZEEL.
Elaborating on his new role, Siju said “Tamilnadu is a market with huge potential. This is one market where television viewing is a habit that is quite difficult to break. I’m looking forward to bringing the necessary changes in this habit that will benefit Zee Tamil and help us grow in leaps and bounds”
Ever since he took over Zee Kannada, Siju Prabhakar has played important role in pulling up the channel’s viewership and revenues and he is expected to swing his magic spell in Zee Tamil also. He also enjoys the credibility of building a strong new team under him, which is putting wonderful efforts to build up the channel Zee Kannada.
