Mumbai: Star India has announces the greenlight of ‘TED Talks India: Nayi Soch,” in February 2017. The global first Hindi TV talk show created in partnership with TED is set for airing on Star Plus and the show will be hosted by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Though Star India has announced it in February, It seems TED Talks India: Nayi Soch will be ready for airing in October 2017 only. As of now the channel has completed two episodes of the show and it is in the process of shotingits third episode with Director Karan Johar. The show is being shot at the exclusive TED sets errcetd at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai.
‘TED Talks India: Nayi Soch, which translates to “new thinking,” will feature speakers sharing big ideas in TED’s signature format of short, powerful talks. This is the first time TED is collaborating with a major network and mega-star to produce a TV series featuring original TED Talks in a language other than English. Since its founding in 1991.
Shahrukh had been shooting for TED Talks amidst the shooting of his upcoming filmsand fulfilling his commitement with the channel. Sources also reveal that the stage is lit up and it is progressing very smooth co-operation from SRK’s end and audinece will be able tosee the magic he create on screen once the episode is aired on Star Plus.
Star India has earlier tried the chat show Satyameva Jayate with actor Amir Khan hosting show. The show spoke for social change by cultivating forward-thinking programming that harnesses the power and reach of television to touch lives and create meaningful change.
