Gurugram: Taboola, a global leader in powering recommendations and performance advertising on the open web, has announced the opening of its new office in Gurugram, marking a major milestone in its ongoing investment in the Indian digital advertising market.
The inauguration was celebrated at an exclusive, invite-only event on May 27, 2025, attended by senior industry stakeholders and Taboola’s global leadership, including President & COO Eldad Maniv, Chief People Officer Kristy Sundjaja, VP APAC Chanan Fogel, Regional Director APAC Aaron Rigby, and India Country Manager Harpreet Singh. Adding diplomatic significance to the event, Israel’s Ambassador to India, H.E. Reuven Azar, was also present.
“India is a key market for Taboola, with growing adoption from both advertisers and publishers,” said Eldad Maniv. “Opening our Gurugram office brings us closer to our partners and reinforces our commitment to support their growth with globally proven tools and expertise.”
The new facility boosts Taboola’s local capacity by over 50%, supporting a growing team of 170+ employees, and is designed to accommodate rapid expansion in the months ahead.
The event featured two high-impact sessions:
-
A roundtable on “The New Media Mandate: Redefining Performance in a Platform-First World,” exploring how marketers are adapting to a fragmented media environment and evolving performance KPIs.
-
A panel discussion titled “From Dependency to Diversification: Shaping the Future with AI, Personalization & Partnerships,” featuring top media executives including Sanjay Sindhwani (Indian Express Digital), Abhishek Sharma (HT Digital), and Puneet Gupt (Times Internet), alongside Taboola’s Chanan Fogel. The dialogue focused on building scalable publishing models and revenue diversification strategies powered by AI and personalization.
Taboola also used the platform to reaffirm its long-standing publisher partnerships. It announced a three-year renewal with Jagran New Media, continuing their focus on content personalization for Hindi-speaking audiences. Likewise, The Indian Express Group, a partner since 2018, extended its collaboration for another three years, having been an early adopter of Taboola’s engagement tools.
The Gurugram launch underscores Taboola’s accelerating momentum in India as it scales up operations and deepens its role in transforming the open web’s performance advertising landscape.
