TAM Media Research Wins Bronze Category Best Paper Award at PAMRO 24th Annual Conference, August 2023

TAM Media Research, a pioneering Indian research company, is thrilled to announce its recent achievement of winning the Best Paper Award (Bronze Category) at the prestigious Pan African Media Research Organisation (PAMRO) 24th Annual Conference 2023. The conference, held from August 27th to 30th in Casablanca, Morocco, focused on the theme of “Resilience and Innovation: Navigating the Media Landscape in Africa.”

TAM Media Research’s winning paper, titled “Learnings from India on Effective Use of Return Path Measurement Data – Building Blocks for Adapting Change in Africa’s Video Content Research,” garnered significant attention and recognition. This accolade marks another significant milestone for TAM, an Indian Media research company, once again achieving recognition on the international stage for its outstanding contribution to the field of media research and adding to its past such global recognitions in World Audience Measurement (WAM) by ESOMAR & ARF.

The paper presented by TAM Media Research delved into the extensive experience of the company in Audience Measurement, Data Analytics, and the effective use of Return Path Measurement Data. These insights are not limited to India but can be applied across diverse platforms and geographical regions, including Africa.

About the Paper: In a rapidly evolving media landscape characterized by streaming platforms and multi-distribution options, audience preferences are diversifying, leading to a fragmented viewership. TAM Media Research’s paper addressed crucial questions:

  1. Can the Audience Measurement System be tailored to measure diverse markets with multiple platforms? Can it encompass the entire diversified eco-system?
  2. Can this system assist the industry eco-system, including broadcasters, platform owners, agencies, and brands, in making strategic decisions?
  3. Can brands harness geo-targeting with addressable ad solutions through the Audience Measurement System?
  4. Will this approach accelerate growth in the Entertainment & Media Industry?

The resounding answer to all these questions is a resolute “yes.” The potential of the Return Path Data Measurement system was showcased as a key tool to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving media landscape.
